There is a dire need for our local college to conduct its first-ever conference on research. As a student taking up Bachelor's Degree in Development Communication at a "world-renowned" academic institution, I believe that conferences create an avenue for knowledge to thrive through the dissemination of large quantities of information. Having the initiative to kickstart the plan of having the first research conference at our university, I have set a meeting with the Vice President of Academic Affairs, together with the Dean of our College, about the matter.
