South Frankfort Presbyterian Church
TITLE: Choir Director
EMPLOYEE TYPE: Permanent part-time, 15-20 hours per week.
PURPOSE: Provide music direction for Sunday services and other church
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Choir Director shall report to the Pastor and be a member of the Session Worship Committee.
• Direct adult choir at rehearsal and 11 a.m. worship on Sundays.
• Direct two hand bell choirs for participation in worship.
• Attend choral and bell music reading sessions to select and purchase
• Work with staff and volunteers to plan children and youth musical
• Secure instrumentalists and other musicians to accompany the choir or to
provide music in the absence of the choir.
• Secure a qualified substitute in the director’s absence.
• Catalog and file music.
• Provide music for seasonal and special services held at the church, as
requested by the Pastor and/or Worship Committee.
Assist Pastor, Organist, and Worship Committee in the general planning of
quality church music program in keeping with the church’s mission.
Evaluation at least annually by the Pastor and Session Personnel

St. Luke United Methodist Church in Lexington, KY is seeking a Worship Leader who is able to lead dynamic and creative worship experiences on Sunday morning and Thursday evenings. We need a leader who can effectively lead, equip, and encourage our praise band musicians and other volunteers who desire to use their gifts in the worship of God. The successful applicant must have a heart for worship, possess skills in worship music leadership and the ability to work with a team to plan a comprehensive worship experience for a multi-generational, multi-cultural congregation that averages nearly 700 weekly. This is a part time position (approximately 15 hours per week) but depending on the giftedness of the successful applicant, the position could be expanded to include additional aspects of a dynamic worship/music ministry.

Director of Sacred Music & Organist wanted at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, an historic large parish in Louisville Kentucky.
Position requires a musician committed full-time to Catholic liturgical music in the Ordinary Form and the Extraordinary Form (Latin) Mass including directing the choir. Preference given to degreed musician.
St. Martin's Church, (http://www.stmartinoftourschurch.org) established in 1853, serves as a focal point for sacred music in the city of Louisville. The original organ installed in 1861 by Koehnken and Grimm of Germany was replaced in 1897 by Farrand and Votney with further updating in 1949, 1978 and in 1990 to its present status with 37 ranks and 3 manuals. The organ combined with the spectacular acoustic of St. Martin's is well acclaimed.
